Honeybear, a 3-year-old female Labrador retriever mix, is available for adoption from Kansas Humane Society.
I’m sweet as honey. One look into my bright eyes and you’ll fall in love. I’m a gentle soul at heart. And I have a lot of love to give. That’s why they call me a “constant companion.” I’m so well-mannered they took me on a field trip to a nursing home the other day so I could cheer up some of the folks living there. I just sat quietly and enjoyed having my head scratched. I’m a low-maintenance gal who doesn’t require much to be happy, only your love and company. So maybe you could come visit me.
▪ P.J., 6-year-old male terrier-chow chow mix
My foster mom tells me I must be part lion because of my bushy mane, but really I’m just a big teddy bear. I love to be around people and cuddle on the couch. Plus I get along great with everyone I meet, including my foster family’s two dogs. I’m used to being outside so I’m still learning some inside manners like “sit” and “lie down” but my foster mom says I’m really smart so I’m sure I’ll pick it up in no time. Maybe you could help teach me? Give the shelter a call at 316-524-9196 to set up a visit with my foster family.
▪ Danny Zuko, 2-year-old male pit bull terrier mix
I may not be as good looking as John Travolta, but I’m just as cool. Plus I need someone to spend those Summer Nights with. I came to the shelter as a stray but I picked up of few tricks on my journey. I showed the staff here that I can “sit” and “shake” like a pro. So let me show you my skills. Soon we’ll be wearing matching jackets and singing our way through life.
▪ Peep, 3-year-old female cat, domestic longhair mix
I am happy, healthy and extra helpful. I love being around my people and doing whatever I can to make their lives easier. I’m great at sitting in laundry baskets, stepping on keyboards and licking plates clean. Those are just the tip of the iceberg. The longer we live together, the more ways I will learn to help you. I’m also pretty skilled at sitting in laps and helping you chill out after a long day. Come meet me and take me home today.
▪ Squirrel, 3-year-old male cat, domestic shorthair mix
Energetic, happy and bursting with confidence, I’m looking for a new house to explore and conquer. I love getting noticed and being the center of attention. It’s not hard to get noticed when you’re as cute as me. I’m enjoying my time here at KHS, but I think I’m ready to graduate to my forever home. I’m sure it will be a home filled with toys, petting and lots of love. Is that your house?
