Adopt a pet (April 9, 2016)
Bunny TNT has seven bunnies looking for forever homes. They have been spayed or neutered and trained to use a litter box. All bunnies come with their own cage and will make great family pets.
Charlie and Sophie are a bonded pair of Holland lop rabbits. They are a bit shy, but sweet. They will turn 5 years old in June.
Ginger is a female Flemish giant, just 8 1/2 months old. She is outgoing and playful.
Eboney is a young female black satin bunny. She is small and friendly.
Isabella is a black female rabbit with touches of white. She is a big girl, about 3 years old.
Nola and Thelma are female lionhead bunnies, about 2 1/2 years old. Nola is silver gray and has been a therapy bunny. Thelma is brown and always ready for adventure.

Bart, a 6-year-old male Labrador retriever mix, is available for adoption from Kansas Humane Society.
You know how they call dogs “man’s best friend”? Well, they were thinking of me. I’m just about the friendliest guy you’ll ever meet. I greet everyone with a big wag of my tail (and even sneak in a puppy kiss if I can). Plus I know how to “sit” and “shake” for more formal occasions. The vets here at the humane society are working to trim my waistline a bit, but I promise the one thing that won’t shrink is my heart. I’ve got so much love to give. So quit wasting time and come see me. Our happily-ever-after could start today.
Elphaba, 5-year-old female American Staffordshire terrier mix
My name is Elphaba, and as you can maybe tell, I just finished being an awesome mommy to some great babies. My little ones have all found new homes, and now I’m ready to find mine too. I’d like a home filled with love and snuggles, and I’d appreciate someone who will play with me outside in the yard or take me on walks to help me lose some of this baby weight. While at KHS, I have been in play groups with other dogs, and the staff and volunteers love me. One staff member said I was the “awesomest dog ever.” I’m a crowd favorite who is just looking for a responsible and loving family that I can rely on for the rest of my life. I hope that family is yours.
Omarion, 1-year-old male Labrador retriever mix
Hey there: Wanna go on an adventure with me? There’s just so much to sniff and explore in this world, and I can’t wait to do it all. I’m what the staff here at the shelter call a “Busy Bee.” I like to stay active and occupied. There is no time for idle paws in my life. So let’s play with toys together. We can take long walks and play fetch outside. Hurry, you grab your keys and I’ll grab the leash. See you soon.
P.J., 6-year-old male terrier/Chow Chow mix
The name is P.J. and in case you were wondering, that stands for Playful and Jolly. I like to keep everyone here at the shelter laughing. But I’d really like to have a family of my own to make smile. I’m what they call a “Lonely Heart” here at the shelter, which means I’ve been searching for that special someone for quite some time. But I’m not giving up hope. I know someday someone great will come along. And we can go to the dog park together. And curl up and watch movies together. Maybe it could be you?
Flower, 4-year-old female cat, domestic medium-hair mix
Everyone needs a good sidekick. Why don’t you pick me? I’m perfect for the job. I’m playful and fun but also enjoy cuddling up with that special someone. Plus I get along with everyone. I am an extremely social little cat. I’ve made tons of friends here at the humane society and I’ve lived with dogs and other cats before. If you would like to find out more about my charming and engaging self, come and meet me.
