Jet, a male Tibetan spaniel mix, 6 years old, is available for adoption from Pals Animal Rescue. He comes with his favorite toy, a large “unstuffed” monkey, which he takes with him everywhere. He loves attention, is housetrained, is great with other dogs and enjoys walks with his people. Meet Jet and other Pals dogs from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Petco, 2441 N. Maize Road.

Also available from Pals:

▪ Lexi is an “always on alert” 3-year-old Jack Russell mix. She is small in stature but big in her mind. True to her breed, she will alert you to anything that seems out of the ordinary, yet be loving to her family. She is housetrained and always ready for a walk. She and other Pals dogs will be at PetSmart at 3615 N. Rock Road from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday.

▪ Toffee the cat loves playing with her feather toys. She is a little over a year old and still has a little of the “kitten” attitude in her. Toffee is outgoing, likes people and does well with other cats and with dogs. She and a host of other cats and kittens will be at PetSmart on North Rock Road from noon to 2:30 p.m. Saturday.

Chestnut the Busy Bee, a 2-year-old American pit bull terrier mix, male, is available for adoption from Kansas Humane Society.

Need a friend to help you get in shape this year? I’m the perfect boy for the job. I’m 2 years old, and I’ve been searching for someone to go jogging with since November. I just know this is the year I’ll finally find my forever home.

Also available from KHS:

▪ Milo the Busy Bee, 4-year-old Treeing Walker Coonhound mix, male

Hey there, friends. As I’m sure you’ve noticed, I’m a handsome guy with an even more attractive personality. I love staying busy, goofing around and spending time with you, of course. Take me for a long walk, play fetch with me, or maybe we can play tug-of-war with a rope. Come meet me soon. I’m already waggin’ my tail just for you.

▪ Jenna the Goofball, 1-year-old shepherd mix, female

Everything in life is a game when you’re a goofball like me. I’m a positive girl and I always try to look on the bright side. That’s why I know my forever home is right around the corner. We’ll go on walks, play with toys and spend tons of time loving on each other. I hope you don’t mind doggy kisses and a wet nose.

▪ Durango the Sidekick, 11-year-old male cat, domestic shorthair mix

I’m a happy, furry guy that wants to be your friend. I’m happy to chill while you watch some television. I’m also game for some chasing of the string and kitty toys. You’ll be thrilled when you adopt me because I am great company.

▪ Ronnie, 5-month-old male cat, domestic shorthair mix

I sure wish I knew what I did with that key to home. I guess I lost it when I lost my way. Do you know the way home? Oh, you want to give me a new home? That would be a delight. When we first meet, give me a little time to adjust to you and we’ll have an amazing future together.
