Looking for the perfect sidekick? I’m your man. I love to have someone to curl up with. I came to the Kansas Humane Society as a stray so the staff here doesn’t know much about my history, but give me a little love and I’ll tell you the whole story. I’ve seen quite a lot in my 8 years and now I’m looking for the perfect companion to pet me and give me love. Don’t worry; I’ll definitely return the favor. If you’re looking for someone to cozy up with this winter, I’m your girl. I’m what they call a “constant companion” here at the shelter, which means I’m devoted to my human friends. I’m searching for a new best friend to give me a second chance at a happy life. I was stuck outside most of the time in my previous home so I would love a warm home to rest my head in this time. The vets here said being inside more might also help my nose heal. I love to play with toys, go for walks and play with my doggie friends. I’ve got lots of puppy kisses to give, so if you want a sweet companion to stick by your side, choose me.

I quickly make friends with everyone I meet. My previous owner said I got along great with their other dog and their kids, but they didn’t have time to play with me as much as I’d like. Now I’m hoping to find a new best friend to take me on walks around the neighborhood. I love to run and play, plus I know lots of tricks like “shake” that I can show you. Kandee Leigh, a delightful little Chihuahua mix, is available from Pals Animal Rescue. She is a sweet cuddle bug who came to Pals with a broken leg. With surgery and time it has healed, and she is now ready for her new home. She is a bit shy at first but warms up to people as she knows them. She is house-trained and crate-trained with supervision. At 4 pounds, she is not a dog for small children.

▪ Zoey is a terrier mix, with a bit of dachshund in her background. She has been voted “Ms. Personality,” as she has never met a stranger and does her best to pay attention to everyone who comes to visit her. House-trained to use a doggie door, she loves playing with other dogs and with toys.
