Adopt a pet (Nov. 14)

Leith
Leith Kansas Humane Society

Leith, a 1-year-old male shepherd-Labrador retriever mix, is available for adoption from Kansas Humane Society.

Hey there, the name is Leith. Do you like to have fun? I do! I’m what they call a “busy bee” at KHS because I’m always looking to sniff out a fun new adventure. My foster family says I’m a sweet boy who just loves to play. I was found as a stray before I came to the Kansas Humane society so this time I’d prefer to be in a home with a 6-foot fence; a 4-foot fence just couldn’t contain my enthusiasm. Give the Kansas Humane Society a call today to set up an appointment with my foster family and let the fun begin.

Also available:

▪ Daryl, 8-year-old pit bull-hound mix, male

I’m living proof that age is just a number. I may be a bit long in the tooth but I’m just as spunky as any of these young pups – plus I love to play and have fun. I’m what the shelter staff here at KHS calls a “goofball.” My goal is to keep you smiling at all times, so come visit me today. We can go on a nice walk together and I’ll be sure to give you a big puppy-dog kiss. Our lifelong friendship could start as soon as you come in to the Kansas Humane Society, so don’t hesitate.

▪ Duke, 3-year-old pit bull mix, male

I’m a happy-go-lucky guy looking for someone as sweet as I am to love me in return. Just give me a little tender loving care and I’ll be your best friend. Pay no mind to my bandaged tail; the staff here jokingly calls it “happy tail.” I’m such a happy guy, my tail never stops wagging, so sometimes it hits the sides of my kennel and makes it sore. When I came to the Kansas Humane Society the veterinarians diagnosed me with heartworms. The staff has got me on the road to recovery, but I’ll need someone patient to stand by me through the rest of my treatment. After that, it’s happily ever after for both of us.

▪ Courier, 7-month-old male cat, domestic shorthair mix

Looking for someone sweet to cuddle with through the cold winter? I’m your guy. I’ve grown out of the zany kitten stage and now prefer to cuddle up with my favorite people for a quiet evening in. My foster family says I am calm and very loving. Plus, I got along great with the cats in their home. Now I’m just looking for a home to call my own. Come cuddle with me at the Kansas Humane Society today.

▪ Panther, 3-year-old female cat, domestic shorthair mix

Psst! Over here! Like the elusive Panther I’m named after, I can be a little shy at first. But once we get to know each other, I promise to be the perfect companion. I’ll greet you at the door with a happy “meow” and keep your feet warm during the winter. Do you have room in your heart for me? Pay me a visit at the Kansas Humane Society today. You’re sure to fall in love with my purrfect personality.
