Regional cat show to feature exotic breeds, rescue felines

Wichita Cat Fancy is sponsoring a Cat Fanciers’ Association regional cat show Saturday and Sunday at the Cotillion, 11120 W. Kellogg.

The show will feature cat judging, of exotic breeds as well as household pets, vendors selling cat products and rescue cats available for adoption. Representatives from Friends of Felines will be available to answer questions about caring for feral cats.

Hours for the show are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for seniors and children 6 to 12, or $10 for a family pass that’s good all weekend.

Pals, Spay-Neuter Kansas to offer photos with Santa

Pals Animal Rescue and Spay-Neuter Kansas are teaming up to offer pet photos with Santa on Saturday and Dec. 13.

The photos will be taken from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days at the Spay-Neuter Kansas clinic, 319 S. Hydraulic.

For $10, people can get a photo of their pet with Santa in a card plus an e-mailed copy. They also can pick out a free toy for their dog or cat.

Donations of paper towels, hydrogen peroxide, laundry detergent, distilled water and office supplies are needed at the clinic, which offers spay and neuter services for the pets of families who cannot afford the surgeries.
