Adopt a pet (Oct. 24)
Stewie, a 4-year-old male pit bull mix, is available for adoption from Kansas Humane Society.
I’m an all-around great dog. I’m house-trained, I’ve lived with other dogs and cats before, and I absolutely love to meet new people. I guess you could call me a social butterfly. My favorite place to hang out is at the dog park. I love to play fetch and tug-of-war with my doggie friends, plus there is lots of room to run. Then after a long day at the park, I’d love to cuddle up with someone. Maybe it could be you? My foster parents say I’m a sucker for snuggling. Give the Kansas Humane Society a call to set up your snuggle session today.
Also available:
▪ Hercules, 7-year-old male Saint Bernard/Labrador retriever mix
Hey there, I’m Hercules, and I’ve got a heart as big as my name. I have a special place in my heart that makes me spread happiness everywhere I go. I’m not a pup anymore, but that’s not slowing me down one bit. The staff here at the shelter always tells me what a goofy boy I am. I just think life is an adventure meant to be lived to the fullest and shared with someone special. Now I just need someone to share my joy with. Do you want to join me on this journey called life? Come see me at the Kansas Humane Society today, and let the fun begin.
▪ Pepe, 2-year-old male Australian terrier mix
I hope you like clowning around. Why? Well, I’m what they call a “goofball” here at the shelter. I will make you laugh and laugh. I went on a visit to a nursing home to cheer up the people there, and, boy oh boy, did I make the residents laugh and smile. It was fun riding in the car, hanging out with the other dog that I met, and being silly with people. If you want to add a little laughter to your household, come by the Kansas Humane Society today. I’m sure to make every day entertaining.
▪ Solo, 11-month-old male cat, domestic shorthair mix
My name may be Solo, but I don’t want to be on my own anymore. I just know there’s someone out there that has as much love to give as I do. And I’m not resting until I find them. I try my best to be a good sidekick for my foster family. I follow them around the house and meow to tell them “hello” when they come home. I love when they brush me, and play time is fun too. My favorite toys are a laser pointer, a wand and shoe strings. After I’m done playing, I like to take cat naps in a tall cat tree. If you think I would be a purrfect fit for your home, please call the folks at the Kansas Humane Society to set up a visit with my foster family.
▪ Carmen, 3-year-old female cat, domestic medium-hair mix
Have you ever seen a prettier kitty than me? I’d love to have someone to pet my silky, cream-color coat every night. For now I’m just waiting to find my perfect match at the Kansas Humane Society. I was found as a stray on the streets. The nice people here at the shelter cleaned me up and got rid of those pesky ear mites that had been bugging me for so long, and now I’m a much happier cat. If fact, I’ve become the “Leader of the Band” among my cat friends here. I love to sniff out an adventure. But don’t worry; I’ll make time to show you my cuddly, affectionate side too. All you have to do is stop by the Kansas Humane Society today and pay me a visit.
