Adopt a pet (Sept. 19).

Pippi
Pippi Kansas Humane Society

Pippi, a 2-year-old female pit bull terrier mix, is available for adoption from Kansas Humane Society.

Do you need a new best friend? I’m afraid I got myself turned around and couldn’t find my way home, so now I’m here at the Kansas Humane Society looking for a new family to take me in and love me. I just know I could be a good family dog; I happily greet everyone with a wag of my tail. Plus I’ve got plenty of energy to play and accompany you on your daily errands. Please come see me. I promise you’ll be happy you did.

Also available from KHS:

▪ Mocha, 1-year-old female pit bull terrier mix

It’s almost fall, and everyone needs someone to cuddle up with to keep warm, including me. My name is Mocha, and curling up with you sounds like a perfect plan. The people here at the shelter call me a “couch potato” but really I’m just a big love bug. My idea of a good time is any time we can spend together. I’ve been a little stressed here at the shelter because I miss having someone to love. I’m a “lonely heart,” which means I’ve been waiting for my new family for a while now. Could you be the one to finally give me a second chance?

▪ Solo, 10-month-old male cat, domestic shorthair mix

My name may be Solo, but I don’t want to be on my own anymore. I just know there’s someone out there that has as much love to give as I do. And I’m not resting until I find them. I try my best to be a good sidekick for my foster family. I follow them around the house and meow to tell them “hello” when they come home. I love when they brush me, and play time is fun too. After I’m done playing I like to take cat naps in a tall cat tree. If you think I would be a purrfect fit for your home, please call the folks at the Kansas Humane Society to set up a visit with my foster family.

▪ Greyson, 6-year-old male cat, domestic shorthair mix

If you’ve been searching for the perfect gentleman, look no further. I’m an older cat who knows exactly what it takes to be a good house pet. They call me a “personal assistant” here at the Kansas Humane Society, and that’s because I love to be around my people. I’d gladly let you stroke my soft, silky coat all day. And when you have work to do, I’ll poke my head in to check on you and even lend a helping paw when you need it. Won’t you come pay me a visit? I can’t wait to meet you.

▪ C.C., 1-year-old female cat, domestic shorthair mix

The name is C.C., and that stands for “Cuddle” and “Climb.” My foster family says those are my two favorite activities. I’m a playful girl who is sure to steal your attention, and once I’ve got it, I take full advantage of cuddle time. I just love to be with people and get along with everyone I meet.

She will be shown from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Petco west, 2441 N. Maize Road. She is house- and crate-trained and is wonderful with people and other animals.

Also available from Pals:

Molly, a 1-year-old Chihuahua mix, will be shown at Petsmart at 3615 N. Rock Road from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, along with seven other Pals dogs. She loves to cuddle and play with her toys. She is Ms. Personality Plus as she strives to always do what you want.
