Adopt a pet (Oct. 18)
Opie the Goofball, a 6-year-old male short-coat-chihuahua mix, is available for adoption from the Kansas Humane Society.
Well good golly, I’m not sure how all this change took place. I am looking for an old-fashioned family that will make me feel comforted and worry-free. The kind of family where love is in big supply and problems seem to take care of themselves. We can spend time together hanging out on the porch or playing games. What do ya say? Come give me a chance at KHS.
Among the other pets that are available:
Leo the Goofball, 2-year-old Labrador retriever mix
Look! This is my innocent “Will you take me home?” face. Is it working? Well, I’m Leo and I hope that I can wow you with my goofy personality and cute appearance. But I’m much more than just a pretty face, you know. I’m capable of big-time love and affection, and I hope I can show you at KHS sometime.
Kismet the Personal Assistant, 6-year-old domestic shorthair mix
Boy, employment is sure hard to find these days! I would like to inquire about a position in your household as an assistant. There must be several cabinets and boxes that need to be inspected. And wouldn’t it be nice if you had something fluffy to pet while watching TV? Well, that’s what I’m here for! Come check me out at KHS soon.
Duchess the Personal Assistant, 4-year-old domestic shorthair mix
I know my name is Duchess, but you don’t need to treat me like royalty. Just a bowl of food and a nice water dish and some love are all I need! I probably get my name from my spunky, can-do attitude. Oh, and did I mention that I can be your little helper? It’s true, I can do whatever you need around the house! Come see me at KHS and find out for yourself.
Lillian, 4-month-old domestic shorthair mix
Hello there, or “Meow” in cat language! I’m still in the process of figuring out things in life. Like which toys to play with or which blanket to lie on. That reminds me, one time I had this dream where I was lying on the couch next to my new owner. Oh, it was so great! Why don’t you come make my dreams come true at KHS.
