Sweetie, a female Australian shepherd puppy, 3 or 4 months old, is available for adoption from Dobe & Dog Rescue in Wichita.

The pup was found by the side of a country road in Oklahoma, with her fur matted and full of stickers, said Dobe & Dog vice president Leslie Canady. The dog, who Canady said is “a total love bug,” has been in foster care in Oklahoma but will be in Wichita on Saturday to meet potential adopters.

Sweetie and other Dobe & Dog dogs will be at PetSmart, 533 S. Tracy, from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday. Among dogs available for adoption are Kat, a 5-month-old female Labrador-rottweiler mix; two Doberman pinschers; a shepherd mix and a Pomeranian.

For more information, call 316-993-2652 or visit the group’s Facebook page.

Dean the Goofball, a 10-year-old male Labrador retriever mix, is available for adoption from Kansas Humane Society.

Greetings, new friend! I’m an older guy, graying a bit around the edges, but I still have a bit of a spring in my step. I like to get my exercise in daily, then lie on your lap as the day comes to a close. Will you be my new forever home? Come visit me today. I can’t wait to meet you.

Also available:

▪ Blue the Busy Bee, 2-year-old female American pit bull terrier mix

Am I beautiful or am I beautiful? I’m beautiful! I also love to take walks and play and socialize. I like keeping busy because there’s so much to see and do. If you want to see the world with me, come visit me and adopt me. What a great team we would make.

▪ Sassy the Sidekick, 4-year-old female cat, domestic shorthair mix

Darling, let me set you straight: Every household needs a cat. Believe me, darling, I would not steer you wrong. I know this because I am an expert at housekeeping and pleasing my pet parents and friends. I’m loyal, devoted and eager to work with you. Please consider giving me the chance to be your special someone.

▪ Missy the Personal Assistant, 4-year-old female, domestic shorthair mix

I have lived with dogs and cats and I’m house-trained. Pretty cool, huh? You could say that I’ve got skills, and I would totally agree with you. Come visit me and you will realize what a great cat I’ll be for you. Shall I expect you soon?

▪ Nemo, 3-month-old male kitten, domestic shorthair mix

What is that? Wait, what do you have there? Oh my goodness, there are so many objects for me to play with. I wish you knew how happy I am to have the opportunity to go home with someone new. Will you be my new pet parent? There’s nothing I want more than for us to fall in love and be besties for life.
