Pals Animal Rescue will have an adoption event Saturday at PetSmart east, 3615 N. Rock Road. Twenty-four dogs and 15 cats will be at the store from 1 to 2:30 p.m. to meet potential adopters. Among the animals available are:

▪ Angel, a 3-year-old female golden retriever. She is housebroken and crate-trained, loves her toys and has a special blanket that she curls up with every night. She is beautiful and very obedient.

▪ Belle, a 4-year-old toy poodle who is a loving companion to her foster parents. She gets along well with other dogs and is house-trained, but she hates crates. She is a delightful little girl who will follow you everywhere you go.

▪ Thelma is a year old now and is such a wonderful cat, we can’t believe she has not been adopted yet. She is an indoor-only cat. She is good with other cats and dogs and loves to cuddle.

For more information, call 316-990-3647 or visit Pals’ Facebook page.

Minnie the Go Getter, a 2-year-old female American pit bull terrier-boxer mix, is available for adoption from Kansas Humane Society.

Are you ready to shake things up a little? Have a little excitement? Count me in on the fun. I love to have a good time and look at life as one big adventure. With my own brand of surprises, life with me will keep you constantly on your toes and entertained. Come visit with me today.

Also available:

▪ Kane the Busy Bee, 1-year-old male American pit bull terrier-Labrador mix

I love attention, treats and taking walks. I bet I’ll love you too! Is anyone willing to give this sweet guy everything I love and more? Great, you sound like the perfect match for me. Let’s get started today, or right now even.

▪ Cecily the Secret Admirer, 2-year-old female cat, domestic long-hair mix

Blink and you’ll miss me! I am light on my toes and can slink around as silently as a panther. I am very creative and I’m always looking for the next best hiding spot. I hope I can slink around your domestic jungle sometime soon. I’ll be here when you’re ready to come see me.

▪ Flop the Sidekick, 7-year-old female cat, domestic shorthair mix

Contemplating, organizing, purring … all right, I’m ready! I always need to go through my decision-making process so I can make smart choices. And after giving it some thought, I’m ready to go home with you. I’m looking for a one-cat person to devote my entire affection and devotion to forever.

▪ Prish the Personal Assistant, 2-year-old female cat, domestic long-hair mix

Need some help around the house? I can help you press keys on the keyboard, hold down the papers you’re trying to read, and even keep your lap warm and toasty. Being helpful is just what I do naturally. Come to KHS soon, and you’ll wonder how you ever managed without me.
