Adopt a pet (May 16)
Oscar the Goofball, a 3-year-old male American pit bull terrier mix, 50 pounds, is available for adoption from Kansas Humane Society.
H-h-hello! I was just thinking to myself, “wouldn’t it be great if I was a part of your family?” I think it sounds like a fun adventure, so you should come and make me yours right away. I’ll be a little cautious and shy at first, but once I feel safe I am playful and curious. I’ll be in my suite waiting for you to come by.
▪ Walter Sherman the Busy Bee, 3-year-old male American pit bull terrier-Labrador mix, 64 lbs.
Hello, good lookin’! Where have you been all my life? Let me lean in real close so you can give me some good old-fashioned lovin’. I know “sit” and I have shown that I can keep my kennel nice and clean. I hope treats and good times are in my future soon. Most importantly, I hope you are in my future. Come visit me.
▪ Landon the Busy Bee, 10-month-old male American pit bull terrier-Labrador mix, 42 lbs.
Oh, what a beautiful day. It sure seems like a great day to find a new family that will love and cherish me. I’d really love to visit with you soon. I am in foster care, so give KHS a call at 316-524-9196 and they will help set up my visit.
▪ Snow the Sidekick, 8-year-old male cat, domestic long-hair mix
I hear a distant sound like a tweet coming from the window, and the rays of sunshine beaming through the pane. I just love the warmth the sun brings. Do you have sun rays at your house? Wow, may I come over and play in them? That would be so great. Why don’t you come to KHS to visit me?
▪ Callie the Leader of the Band, 3-year-old female cat, domestic shorthair mix
I’ve got a news alert for you: I am in need of a new place to crash. And I’m willing to bet you’re a fine person who knows how to take excellent care of a fantastic feline. I know we’ll get along swimmingly. Can I count on you to make a trip to KHS so we can meet? Purr-fect!
