Adopt a pet (March 21)
Gracie, a 7-year-old female cocker spaniel, is available for adoption from Pals Animal Rescue. Adoption into a “cocker home” would be best for her, as she is a bit spoiled and would like to be the only dog in the house. Her owner had to move into an apartment and could not keep her.
Gracie will be at Petco, 2114 N. Maize Road, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday. See other Pals dogs at the same time Saturday at PetSmart, 3615 N. Rock Road. For more information, call 316-990-3647.
Jenny the Busy Bee, a 4-year-old female American pit bull terrier mix, is available for adoption from Kansas Humane Society.
What do the sun and I have in common? We both are shining brightly today. It’s a wonderful day to be adopted. I love to play and have a good time. I know a whole slew of jokes, too. Entertaining you and keeping you on your toes is what I want to do in our lifelong journey together.
Also available:
▪ Charlie the Goofball, 3-year-old male shih tzu-Maltese mix
I’m gonna get adopted! Woo hoo! That’s why I’m smiling from ear to ear. You are going to think that I’m the cutest thing you ever saw, because I am. I bring smiles to everyone I meet, and that’s probably because I’m such a great lap dog. Come see me at KHS and I’ll prove it to you.
▪ Hershey the Goofball, 8-year-old female Labrador retriever mix
Who’s ready to be your best friend? Is it me, or somebody else? If you answered “me,” then you’re totally right. I can’t wait to play and take relaxing walks with you. It’ll be so much fun. Visit me soon so that we can get started on the rest of our lives together.
▪ Milenko the Secret Admirer, 2-year-old male cat, domestic shorthair mix
Nice to meet you, human. I’m Milenko. My best years are ahead of me because I just know that you’ll come adopt me. Hopefully you’re A-OK with giving me lots of scratches behind the ears, because that would make me purr like no other. I’ll see you at KHS soon, right?
▪ Majo the Secret Admirer, 10-year-old female cat, domestic shorthair mix
Whether I am admiring you from afar or just lounging beside you, it’s all great to me. Have you seen my pretty coat? I’m not gonna lie, I’m quite proud of it. I’m a mellow gal that will window-watch and take sweet naps with you. Come adopt me, and my soft coat is all yours to pet.
If you’re interested in adopting from the Kansas Humane Society, visit at 3313 N. Hillside, call 316-524-9196 or go to www.kshumane.org.
