Adopt a pet (March 7)
Wilson is one of eight 4-month-old golden retriever-mix puppies available for adoption from Pals Animal Rescue. He’s on the small side but is outgoing and brave. He loves people and enjoys playing with other dogs.
Meet Wilson, his siblings and other Pals dogs from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday at PetSmart, 3615 N. Rock Road, and the Petco at 1912 N. Rock Road in Derby.
For more information, call 316-990-3647 or go to www.palsrescue.org.
Andrella the Life of the Party, a 5-year-old female American pit bull terrier mix, is available for adoption from Kansas Humane Society.
Whee! I’m so excited about the possibility of a new home. I hope you are wanting a dog that loves to play and be energetic. What do you say we toss some tennis balls around? How about a Frisbee? I’m game for anything. Just come see me at KHS sooner rather than later.
Also available:
▪ Sam the Busy Bee, 11-year-old male American cocker spaniel mix
I’m sure you’ve already noticed I’m a dashingly handsome guy, but I’ve got an even more attractive personality. How about my curly coat? Isn’t it splendid? I like to stay busy and occupied; there is no time for idle paws in my life. Let’s do this. Grab the keys and I’ll grab the leash. See you at KHS soon.
▪ Ben the Secret Admirer, 8-year-old male cat, domestic longhair mix
Are you looking for a pet that’s super-easy to care for and doesn’t require a lot of supervision? Hey, that sounds a lot like me. I know what’s what and just do my thing. Of course, I’d love your company and would love to play with toy mice and string with you. I think we could be great friends.
▪ Chuck the Secret Admirer, 16-year-old male cat, domestic shorthair mix
Hello, I’m Chuck! It’s a pleasure to meet you. I know the prime of my life has come and gone, but I really need someone now to look after me and take care of me. Let’s hope that the saying “Save the best for last” is really true. I hope to see you soon at KHS. I’m thrilled to find out what my next adventure is going to be.
▪ Oz the Personal Assistant, 3-year-old male cat, domestic shorthair mix
“We’re off to see the kitty, the wonderful kitty named Oz.” Whoops! Sorry, you must have caught me singing my favorite song. It’s a classic song that was written about me. Hopefully you are on your way to see this wonderful kitty named Oz at KHS. I promise you won’t be disappointed.
