Bunny TNT to celebrate 8th birthday
Bunny TNT, a club for people who love and/or own bunnies, will celebrate its 8th birthday Sunday in the lobby at Exploration Place, 300 N. McLean Blvd.
The free event is from 2 to 3:30 p.m. It will include art projects for kids, bunnies to pet and information about bunnies. A veterinarian will be on hand to answer medical questions.
Bunny TNT helps people train bunnies, nurture them and use them for therapy. For more information, call Joyce Gedraitis at 316-683-1122 or e-mail grandmabunnyep@yahoo.com.
Last few Saturdays for RETAIN dog wash
The summer dog wash put on by RETAIN continues on Saturdays in Bel Aire, with volunteers bathing pets for $5.
The dog wash, from 1 to 4 p.m. outside Heartland Animal Hospital, 4100 N. Woodlawn, will be held every Saturday through Aug. 30, weather permitting.
Proceeds go to Responsible and Ethical Treatment of Animals in Neighborhoods, a local group that helps pay for spay and neuter surgeries for pets whose owners can’t afford the procedures.
The group is also accepting items for its annual garage sale, which will be Sept. 25-27 at 615 S. Roosevelt in Wichita. People can bring items – no clothing, please – in good, clean, usable condition to the dog wash or call Jerry McKee at 316-682-2249 to arrange for pickup or to make a tax-deductible donation.
