Adopt a pet (Dec. 17, 2016)

Harriet
Harriet Kansas Humane Society

Harriet, a 3-month-old female domestic shorthair mix, is available for adoption from Kansas Humane Society.

Psst! Over here. I’m Harriet. I’m just a little kitten, so sometimes I get overlooked, but boy would I be glad to meet you. When I first came in to the shelter, I wasn’t feeling so good. But the staff hooked me up with a lovely foster family who gave me the TLC I needed. Now they tell me I’m big enough to find a home of my very own. I’ve been patient, but I just can’t wait to meet my new family. Would you give me a home for the holidays?

Also available from KHS:

▪ Max, 2-year-old male domestic long-hair mix

Have you heard? Today is a very special day. We can make it my day of adoption! That’s right, I am available to be adopted, taken home and made your adorable companion. All of the above is fine with me. I am sure I will make a wonderful friend. Let me come home with you and see how much fun it is. I’ll be your perfect pet furever.

▪ Shadow, 7-year-old male Labrador retriever mix

Hey there, I’m Shadow. And just like my name implies, I’ll never be far behind you. I’m about as loyal as they come. In fact I’m what the staff here at KHS call a “constant companion.” That’s because I’m totally content just to calmly lie by your side, or curl up on the couch with you on one of these cold winter days. Just give me a chance and I’ll show you what a good boy I can be. I’ll be your devoted companion forever.

▪ North, 1-year-old male Australian cattle dog/ Labrador retriever mix

Hey! I’m happy to meet you. My name is North. You might have heard of another stylish little one with the same name, but I’m way cuter than any Kardashian. Although I’m the “life of the party,” the staff here at KHS are always telling me what a good boy I am. What can I say, I just like to stay active and occupied. So hurry, you grab your keys and I’ll grab the leash. I’ll be anxiously waiting at the Kansas Humane Society for you.

▪ Wishbone, 1-year-old male Chinese shar-pei/terrier mix

Dang it! I was just trying to locate the party. Instead I lost my way and can’t see to find my way home. I’m a friendly guy who knows how to enjoy life. We are just supposed to have fun, right? We can have fun together. Do you like to have fun? Great! Then let’s get together and visit. Don’t worry about stopping for party snacks on the way to adopt me; we have some here. I hope to see you soon.
