Fluffy, a 9-year-old female domestic shorthair cat, is available for adoption from Kansas Humane Society.
Is it play time yet? Don’t let my age fool you, I know how to have a good time. I love to run around and have fun. They call me the “Leader of the Band” here at the humane society. That’s because I am always on the prowl, hunting for a new activity. I enjoy the occasional cat nap too. My paws don’t stay idle for long. Do you have a feather wand? We’re definitely going to need one of those. We’ll probably need some jingle-ball toys, too, now that I’m thinking about it. Don’t worry, I’ll show you all my favorites after you adopt me. Come and meet me today.
▪ Banshee, 8-year-old female cat, domestic long-hair
Hey there. Like my glamor shots? I was totally ready for that camera. But when you’re as beautiful as I am, you don’t have to try too hard. I’ve got a luxurious white coat and beautiful green eyes that are sure to captivate you. But don’t worry, I’ve got a great personality to match my looks. I’m what they call a “personal assistant” here at the shelter. I like to stick pretty close to my favorite people; that way I can lend a paw whenever you need help. I think we could be the purrrfect match, so come by the Kansas Humane Society today and meet me.
▪ Ace, 3-year-old male border collie mix
Dang it. I was just trying to locate the party. Instead I lost my way and can’t find my way home. So now I’m looking for a new best friend and a new home to call my own. I’m a friendly guy who knows how to enjoy life.. We are just supposed to have fun, right? We can have fun together. Do you like to have fun? Great. Then let’s get together and visit. Don’t worry about stopping for party snacks on the way to adopt me, we have some here. I hope to see you soon.
▪ Larry Boy, 4-year-old male Chihuahua mix
Hi there, I’m Larry Boy. I’m just a little guy, and that big shelter was a little overwhelming for me. Luckily a nice foster family took me in so I could relax in their home while I wait for a home of my own. I’m still a little bit shy, so I’ll just tell you what my foster mom said about me. “Larry is doing really well. He’s gaining more confidence every day. He likes car rides, walks and is really happy around kids, surprisingly. Definitely a couch potato. He responds to his name. The first two days he wanted to be left alone to settle in, and now he’s a cuddler. He likes other dogs. It’s so cool to see him transform back to a happier little dog.” If you’d like to meet me, please call 316-524-9196 to set up a visit with my foster family.
▪ Aqua, 1-year-old female American pit bull mix
My name is Aqua, and I’m just waiting for someone to make my dream of having a family come true. I can be a little shy at first, but just give me a good scratch behind the ears and this “Wallflower” will break out of my shell in no time. I’m a real sweetheart and I just know that with a little time and a lot of love I’ll be able to become comfortable and really shine. All of your patience and hard work will really pay off when my personality blossoms and you are rewarded with a happy, loving, and loyal dog for life.
