Groups team up to provide cancer screenings in Kansas
The Kansas Masonic Foundation, Midwest Cancer Alliance and University of Kansas will host cancer screenings around the state over the next month and a half, with one in Haysville on Sept. 19.
This comes in the wake of Sedgwick County budget cuts to its free cancer screenings.
The Kansas Masonic Foundation partnered with the Midwest Cancer Alliance, the outreach division at the University of Kansas Cancer Center and KU Medical Center for the events.
Medical professionals will provide skin and prostate cancer screenings, bone density screenings and breast cancer education and self-exam information.
