Here’s where you can get a free skin cancer screening on Saturday in Wichita
Free skin cancer screenings will be offered Saturday at the KU School of Medicine-Wichita.
The screening clinic, from 8 a.m. to noon May 7 at 1010 N. Kansas St., is returning after a two-year absence during the pandemic. People who want to be screened should go in through the patient entrance on the east side.
Providers will do full body skin checks. Attendees will be given a list of dermatologists in Wichita to follow up, according to a news release.
The clinic is open to the general public; proof of insurance is not needed. Providers will only ask for name, address and date of birth, said Darcy Gray, digital communications coordinator.
The clinic was last held in May 2019, the 31st time for the event. Over 330 Wichita residents received free screenings, the release says.
The clinic is provided by Wichita-area dermatologists along with the American Academy of Dermatology, KU School of Medicine-Wichita, the Medical Society of Sedgwick County and the United Way of the Plains.
Those with more questions about the screening may call 316-777-6104.
