Asian Wellness Day to offer free screenings
Gilead Sciences is sponsoring free screenings for Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C at Asian Wellness Day on Saturday.
The event will provide health screenings and exams from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Sedgwick County Extension Education Center, 7001 W. 21st St., on the corner of 21st and Ridge Road.
Other free screenings include breast exams and mammograms for women 40 to 64 years old with no health insurance. Call 316-337-6047 for an appointment.
Free flu vaccines will be available for uninsured adults and children ages 7 and older.
Screenings for cholesterol, blood count, metabolic panel, glucose and Thyroid Stimulating Hormone will cost $15. Participants must fast for 12 hours before the screenings.
The event is for the entire community.
