A Wichita candy store made a national ranking for the 10 best candy shops in the U.S.

The Farris Wheel Candy Co., located at 9747 E. 21st St., got fifth place in this year’s ranking — three spots higher than it made last year.

“I’m always shocked; especially last year, I was completely shocked. And this year I was shocked again. And it’s neat that we actually moved up a couple spaces from last year,” Gerika Wulf, The Farris Wheel’s owner, told The Wichita Eagle.

The ranking, released June 20, was selected by experts and voted on by USA Today readers.

“These candy shops stand out because they offer a variety of delicious treats that you won’t always find in big chains or supermarkets. Plus, they offer the chance to discover new flavors, support local businesses, and enjoy a fun and nostalgic experience,” the ranking said.

According to the candy store’s website, the store offers fine chocolates, trail mixes, gummy candies, raisins, espresso beans and more.
