Goose Island India Pale Ale

Recommended by: Guy Bower, WSU wine instructor, host of “The Good Life” radio program on KNSS

Price: $8 a six-pack

Tastes like: “Big, rich, hoppy aromas with fruit forward notes leading to a toasty malt mid palate and a bold finish that keeps on giving”

Pairs well with: “Garlic- and lemon-roasted whole chicken. Deglaze the roasting pan with this IPA, reduce, season and thicken, and drizzle on top of cut chicken.”

Comments: “This IPA is my favorite from Goose Island but one of several craft brews from this producer. If your beer store doesn’t carry it, ask them to order you some. You won’t be sorry. It’s also a good sipper in front of the fire place, and winter is right around the corner.”
