Former KAKE anchor Jemelle Holopirek finds a new job

You can stop worrying about Jemelle Holopirek.

The former KAKE anchor, who lost her job in early September, is once again gainfully employed. She told her Facebook friends on Wednesday night that she had accepted a full-time job selling homes for Epcon Communities/Perfection Builders.

Holopirek said in the post that the company reached out to her about the job, and she said she would soon be posting Facebook live videos as part of her new role.

She said she will still be doing a few TV and social media projects, too.

Holopirek had worked at KAKE for 23 years and had most recently served as the host of Good Morning Kansas, the station’s morning show. KAKE has since hired anchor Alyson Acklin to co-anchor the show with Shane Ewing.

Once news of Holopirek’s departure reached social media, her fans were quick to offer their support. At the time, she released a statement promising to update people on her next career move.

“Just remember, life isn’t always easy, but it’s amazing,” she wrote in the post.
