The ever-expanding Reddi Industries is at it again.

The company has purchased SSI Sprinkler Systems, which makes more than 10 companies that Reddi has acquired in the last five years.

Co-owner Zack Steven admits he’s lost count.

“I don’t know exactly.”

Steven says previous SSI owners Jerry and Sally Goodwin “ran a good company for 40 years.”

Reddi already offers sprinkler services.

The purchase “gives us a bunch of new customers to start taking care of,” Steven says.

He says SSI has thousands of names in its customer database, and it has hundreds of annual contracts.

SSI also had a retail store.

“I haven’t decided yet if we’re going to continue the retail side or not,” Steven says.

He’ll make an announcement in the spring. Until then, customers can go to Reddi’s headquarters at 6205 E. Kellogg for parts.

Steven says with adding customers, he can introduce them to other Reddi services, including plumbing, electrical, heating and air, sewer and drain, lawn care, fencing and garage doors.

Even though Reddi already offered sprinkler services, Steven says he’s happy to buy SSI.

“It’s a good name. It’s been around for a long time in Wichita.”
