Brandon Knowles was the point person for a lot of the changes at Wichita’s Select Homes Team Real Estate in the last year, and now he is one of the changes.

Knowles resigned this week, and his sister, Kerrie Knowles-DuPont, is the new managing partner.

DuPont and her husband, Brent, became majority owners about this time last year.

Knowles says he “just had met with the majority owners the last few weeks on the direction they wanted to go.”

He says it’s a different direction than he had planned.

Knowles-DuPont didn’t return a call for comment.

Knowles says his sister has a two-decade history in real estate and will do a great job.

“She’s my big sister. She’s been a great support and a great help,” he says. “I’m anxious to see where they take this moving forward.”

Knowles says he’ll focus on some personal real estate investments and take a little time off.

He says he’ll know when it’s time to move forward with something else.

“I’m just excited to see what the new chapter brings,” Knowles says. “I’ll know what it brings when my wife starts asking me to do some chores around the house.”
