Mark Hamill Jokes About Not Attending Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's Wedding
Mark Hamill had a good reason for why he wasn't at Taylor Swiftand Travis Kelce's star-studded wedding.
"Congratulations to the newlyweds!" the Star Wars actor, 74, wrote via Instagram alongside the couple's engagement photo on Sunday, July 5. "I declined to attend the wedding for a variety of personal reasons, but mainly because I wasn't invited."
Swift and Kelce, both 36, tied the knot at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Friday, July 3, in front of about 1,000 guests. Stars in attendance included Bradley Cooper, Reese Witherspoon, Kelsea Ballerini, Maren Morris, Paul Rudd, Jennifer Lopez and more.
Adam Sandler officiated the ceremony. The couple did not have bridesmaids or groomsmen, instead having their brothers, Jason Kelce and Austin Swift, serve as best man and "man of honor," respectively.
Swift and Kelce exchanged vows wearing looks created by Christian Dior Haute Couture and designed by creative director Jonathan Anderson. They also wore custom Christian Louboutin shoes.
Though celebrities from all corners of the entertainment industry made up the guest list, there were a few stars who confirmed that they didn't make the cut. Amy Schumer, for example, shared a photo of herself marrying Michael Cera in their comedy series, Life & Beth, via Instagram and joked, "OK so why weren't we allowed in?"
Meanwhile, a source exclusively told Us Weekly ahead of the nuptials that Blake Lively was not invited amid a rift in her friendship with Swift.
"Blake understands why she wouldn't be invited and that it would be a media frenzy," the insider shared. "She also understands that she and Taylor don't have the same level of friendship they once had. She isn't upset about not being invited, but of course, she would love to be there to support her and Travis."
The source added of Lively, 38, and Swift, "They haven't been in touch in several months, and their last correspondence was only a few casual texts back and forth. That is the extent of their friendship."
Swift and Kelce began dating in the summer of 2023 and got engaged in August 2025.
Hamill, meanwhile, has a love story of his own. He has been married to wife Marilou York since 1978. The couple shares sons Nathan, 47, and Griffin, 43, and daughter Chelsea, 37.
