Rebecca Gayheartis continuing to mourn her late husband and father of her children, Eric Dane.
Posting via her Instagram Stories on Wednesday, May 7, Gayheart, 54, shared a post commemorating the actor following his death.
The photo showed a plaque that read "In Loving Memory of Eric William Dane. 1972-2026." It was surrounded by what appeared to be meaningful mementos, such as poker chips, cigars and other items. A vibrant pink flower could also be seen in the image and Gayheart had selected Lana Del Rey's "Say Yes to Heaven" to accompany the post.
The post comes almost three months after Dane's family confirmed his death following a battle with ALS. He was 53.
"With heavy hearts, we share that Eric Dane passed on Thursday afternoon following a courageous battle with ALS," a statement shared with Us Weekly on February 19 read. "He spent his final days surrounded by dear friends, his devoted wife, and his two beautiful daughters, Billie and Georgia, who were the center of his world.
The statement continued, "Throughout his journey with ALS, Eric became a passionate advocate for awareness and research, determined to make a difference for others facing the same fight. He will be deeply missed, and lovingly remembered always. Eric adored his fans and is forever grateful for the outpouring of love and support he's received. The family has asked for privacy as they navigate this impossible time."
The Euphoria star first publicly revealed his ALS diagnosis with People in April 2025.
"I have been diagnosed with ALS," he told the outlet in a statement at the time. "I am grateful to have my loving family by my side as we navigate this next chapter."
Gayheart, who was married to Dane from 2004 to 2018, made a rare comment about Dane's death on March 18 as she grieved the loss.
"There are no words," Gayheart wrote via Instagram. "All our love forever - your girls ❤️🩹❤️."
In the post, the Jawbreakers actress shared a montage of throwback photos of the pair and their two daughters Billie, 16, and Georgia, 14. (Gayheart withdrew her petition for divorce in 2025 amid Dane's ALS battle.)
In the weeks following Dane's death, Gayheart thanked the community for their support as she and her daughters continued to grapple with the heartbreaking loss.
"I am so blown away by the outpouring of love and support from our community," she wrote via Instagram Stories on February 22. "There aren't words to express our gratitude. You are truly holding us up during this difficult time."
