David Duchovny Is Married to Longtime Girlfriend Monique Pendleberry

David Duchovnyhas officially tied the knot with girlfriend, Monique Pendleberry, after nearly six years of dating, Us Weekly can confirm.

Duchovny, 64, and Pendleberry, 31, previously sparked marriage rumors after the twosome were spotted walking around Malibu on Tuesday, May 20, wearing what appeared to be wedding bands.

The couple reportedly began dating in 2017 and have made rare appearances together throughout the years, including an outing in New York City in September 2024, a Los Angeles Lakers game in January 2024 and a red carpet premiere of Duchovny's Netflix movie You People in 2023.

Duchovny was previously married to Téa Leoni from 1997 to 2014. The twosome (who briefly split in 2008) share two children: daughter West, 26, and son Kyd, 22.

Following their split, Leoni, 59, and the X Files actor remained on friendly terms and continued to coparent their children as they grew into young adults.

"David gave me the two greatest gifts on the planet," Leoni, who later began dating Tim Daly in 2014, toldParade magazine in September 2014. "I don't know how I could ever hate him. We've always loved each other, and we adore these kids. I'm not playing stupid. I understand feelings can get hurt and things can get icky. We've had our moments like that. But these kids are too important, and he feels the same way, I know it. He's a good guy."

Duchovny, for his part, echoed Leoni's sentiments, noting to Parade that the pair will "always be connected and be there for each other."

While Duchovny cherishes being a parent to his two kids, he has reflected on feeling "inadequate" as a father because of his busy schedule as an actor.

"Maybe I was a good parent, because my kids are great people, and they probably want to think of me as a good parent, too," he shared with People in June 2024. "They don't want to think of me as a failure. I'm sure I've done bad things, I'm sure I've made mistakes, but we all have. So, I try and give myself more of a break."

While he was working a lot at the time, Duchovny noted that it was "also cool to model a person who's engaged with their life for a kid."

"It might not be the best thing to just devote your entire existence to your kid either, so it could go either way," he explained. "I don't have access to the other road that could have been traveled. I just have the one that I did travel, so certainly not a perfect parent, but I love my kids. I love my kids so, so much."
