Meanwhile, Snoopy embarks on an adventure in his fantasy world as a World War I flying ace who pursues his arch nemesis, the Red Baron. Good grief!
▪ “Spectre” – The 24th official James Bond film has Daniel Craig returning as agent 007, who receives a cryptic message from his past that sends him on a trail to uncover a sinister organization, while M (Ralph Fiennes) tries to keep Her Majesty’s Secret Service alive.

Special screenings
▪ “600 Miles” – The next installment in the Indie at the Orpheum film series, presented by the Tallgrass Film Association and the Orpheum Theatre, stars Tim Roth as an ATF special agent who is taken captive by a young gun trafficker he was pursuing and finds himself being transported to Mexico to the trafficker’s bosses. Along the way, the two slowly connect in surprising ways.
The film’s director, Gabriel Ripstein, won the best first film award at the Berlin International Film Festival. It will be Mexico’s official entry for the best foreign language film Oscar.
It will be shown at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Orpheum, 200 N. Broadway. The film is unrated, and tickets are $10.
▪ “Project 22” – This documentary was made by two combat veterans who set out to raise awareness and bring an end to the high suicide rate of veterans, estimated to be 22 per day. Riding motorcycles from San Francisco to New York, they speak with veterans about post-war mental challenges and the healing that some are finding in alternative forms of therapy.
The film will be shown at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Wednesday, which is Veterans Day, at Mulvane High School, 1900 N. Rock Road in Mulvane. Admission is free.
Several local organizations will also be at the school from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. to provide information about resources and programs for veterans. A post-screening discussion will follow the screening, to be led by local veterans and clinicians.
