Where Wichita can see this year’s Oscar-nominated movies
The Oscar nominations were announced early — as in before-mankind-early (well it was still dark, anyway) — on Tuesday, Jan. 23, in Hollywood. The 96th Academy Awards, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, will air on ABC on March 10.
“Oppenheimer” leads the pack with 13 total nominations. Following close behind are “Poor Things” with 11 and “Killers of the Flower Moon” with 10. “Barbie” received eight nominations while “Maestro” nabbed seven.
As always, Oscar shook things up a bit (most notably omitting Margot Robbie from best actress for “Barbie” and Leonardo DiCaprio from best actor for “Killers of the Flower Moon”).
But judge for yourself. Here is where you can check out most of the Oscar-nominated movies in major categories. (Physical screening locations are subject to change. Consult theater websites for showtimes.)
