Wichita’s Orpheum to screen Prince double feature
Wichita’s Orpheum Theatre is planning to honor the late artist Prince, who died last week, by screening two of his movies on May 14.
The event, called “Celebration of This Thing Called Life Double Feature,” starts at 7 p.m. at the theater, 200 N. Broadway, and will feature a screening of 1984’s “Purple Rain” followed by 1986’s “Under the Cherry Moon.”
Theatres across the country have been scheduling tribute screenings since last week.
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. on Thursday and will cost $8 in advance or $10 at the door.
They’ll be available in advance at www.selectaseat.com, by calling 316-755-7328 or in person at the Intrust Bank Arena box office.
