What it costs: $6 for a small; $8 for a large

What’s in it: Boxcar express will sell you a green paper bag full of popcorn that has been popped in bacon grease. Each serving has little bits of crispy bacon hidden among the popped kernels.

The judgment: The man who sold us the popcorn warned us that we might not taste the bacon on the first bite but assured us it would build. But we did taste it. Popping corn in bacon grease definitely results in a breakfast-like flavor, and it was difficult to stop eating, especially once we started finding those bits of bacon.

Advice: Get a big bag and save the rest for tomorrow.
