Looking for a day of family fun? The Riverfest has several family events on Sunday
Another evening concert and family fun highlight the Riverfest on Sunday.
From 1 to 7 p.m. the Riverfest will host Downtown Get Down on Main Street between Douglas and English. This main event will include participatory contests that include funnel cake eating, corn-hole, tug of war and more. The WSU men’s basketball players will be available as well during the event to sign autographs and play a round of HORSE with the kids.
The band WAR will headline the concert of the day at Kennedy Stage Plaza on Douglas. The concert will start at 5 p.m. and will have two opening acts. VIP tickets are available for purchase at $25.
Here’s what else is happening on Sunday:
- Food Court and Beer Garden, 11 a.m.; The food court is on the east side of Century II. Stand-alone food vendors will also be at the Kid’s Corner. Food will need to purchased with tickets, which can be purchased at the food court.
Kids Corner, 11 a.m.-10 p.m.; Kids can participate in activities hosted by the Wichita Toy Train Club, meet and greet Wichita Princesses and more. Helicopter Rides, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and 4-9 p.m.; Admission is $40 per person.
ArtFest at Riverfest, 11 a.m.-4p.m.; Located in the Exhibition Hall inside Century II. This two-day pop up event will feature art, design and local shopping.
Wagonmasters River Tours, 12-8p.m. The tours start under the Douglas Avenue Bridge on the north side of Douglas and east of the Arkansas River.
Downtown Get Down, 1-7 p.m.; This main event is on Main Street between Douglas and English. Registration for each participatory event is required. The WSU men’s basketball team will be also there and will sign autographs and host a game of HORSE.
Carnival, 1 p.m.-11 p.m.; The carnival is in the lot at 511 S. Water. A large Ferris Wheel, kiddie rides and rides for older kids will be available. Admission to the carnival is free but tickets to ride rides will need to be purchased on site.
Cardboard Regatta, 1:30 p.m.
WAR Concert, 5 p.m.; This concert will feature two opening acts. VIP tickets are available for purchase for $25.
ICT Drone Show Presented by Exploration Place, 10 p.m. Located at Exploration Place on 300 N. McLean Blvd. This is Wichita’s first drone light show and will provide views of 200 synchronized drones fully choreographed with music. Individual tickets are $15 and $12 for members. Carload parking and admission for up to nine guest are $60 and $50 for members.
Budweiser Clydesdales horse; Open during regular festival hours daily. The horses stable area will be located at 223 S. Main.
