A taste of what to eat, see and do at Riverfest

Walking taco
What is it? A bag of Doritos with taco ingredients (ground beef, shredded lettuce, shredded cheese and pico de gallo) tossed in.
Where is it? Tad’s Bodacious Burrito at the main food court at Century II
How much is it? $7
Should I eat it? Yes. The novelty of eating a deconstructed taco out of a bag of Nacho Cheese Doritos is enough to sell the dish; it also helps that the ground beef is well-seasoned and otherwise yummy. The Doritos chips, near the bottom of the taco, were rather soggy before I got to them, but the nacho cheese seasoning did well to help flavor everything else around them. Just be wary of actually walking around with this dish – it’s perhaps best eaten sitting down.

Gospel fans: Head on over to Riverfest on Monday evening for a smorgasbord of gospel music. A community choir will kick off this celebration of praise, which culminates in a performance by gospel star Jonathon Nelson.
