One local brewery is offering beer fans an excuse to try a whole bunch of Wichita-brewed beer and get a prize for doing so.

Wichita Brewing Co & Pizzeria co-owner Greg Gifford just launched a new beer tour that will award a pretty cool T-shirt to anyone who manages to drink 20 beers in four local breweries. (Not on the same night, hopefully.)

Participants can pick up a punch card at any of the five participants: Wichita Brewing Co & Pizzeria east or west, Central Standard Brewing, Hopping Gnome Brewing, River City Brewing Co. and The Hungry Heart & Whole Brewing Company. Over the course of the summer, they must try four different beers at each of the spots. Once they do, they can turn in their punch cards for a T-shirt that reads “The Real Local Beer: Drink ICT” on the front and has a map featuring the locations of all the breweries on the back.

“We wanted to so something to keep pushing people to try the local guys,” Gifford said. “We’re all about local.”

Gifford actually had his idea brewing before the start of the Wicked Brew Tour, which offers a T-shirt to people who buy drinks at five local breweries or coffee shops, but it took a little longer to get his going, he said.

The tour will likely continue through the summer, Gifford said, and he might launch a new one in the fall.
