Several chain restaurants are opening new locations in Wichita during the next days, weeks and months.

One already has.

Wichita’s newest Firehouse Subs opened on Friday at 446 S. Ridge Road, just a few doors north of the new Abuelo’s near Ridge and Kellogg. This is Wichita’s fourth Firehouse Subs. It’s open 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. For more information, call 316-425-6070.

The new next-door Pizza Hut and Taco Bell restaurants on Webb Road just south of Harry also are moving along. Fugate Enterprises, which is building the restaurants, is aiming to open the Taco Bell by July 6 and the Pizza Hut next door by July 20. The buildings are almost ready, and pouring and curing the parking lots is the last big project, said Kym Money, Fugate’s director of marketing.

Wichita also is about to get two new PepperJax Grill restaurants. The Omaha-based chain, which sells Philly cheese steak sandwiches, plans to open its first restaurant in the former Cinnamon’s Deli space at 2616 N. Maize Road by July 13. A second location will follow at 3130 N. Rock Road and should be ready by September, a PepperJax spokeswoman said.

A second Wichita location of Dickey’s Barbecue Pit at 2244 N. Greenwich, also is almost done. It should be open by the end of summer. The first Wichita Dickey’s opened in October 2014 at 2768 N. Maize Road.
