Bramble Days Cafe’s delayed opening to happen Thursday
Elderslie Farm will open its Bramble Days Cafe on Thursday – for real this time.
Owners of the seasonal cafe at Valley Center’s Elderslie Farm had originally planned to debut the expanded cafe on May 28. But mud at the farm delayed septic work on the project, owners said.
The cafe serves a breakfast that incorporates blackberries grown in the adjacent blackberry bramble. It also offers tours of the farm and a peek at the baby goats. The you-pick blackberry patch isn’t open yet but should be by mid-June.
Starting on Thursday, hours will be 7 to 11 a.m. Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Elderslie Farm is at 3501 E. 101st St. North in Valley Center. For more information, visit www.eldersliefarm.com.
