Angelo’s ready to accept dine-in customers on Saturday

Angelo’s dining room is finally ready – almost.

The Italian restaurant has been overwhelmed with carryout business since reopening at 5231 E. Central in March, but it hadn’t yet opened its dining room, which seats about 50. People would sit at the tables to wait for their food to-go.

The restaurant started training its dining room staff this week and has accepted a few dine-in customers. But full-service dining room will be officially ready to go on Saturday, owners said. Customers will be able to sit down and order their pizza, lasagna and manicotti plus a few new additions to the menu – fettuccine, baked Italian chicken thighs, sausage and peppers, antipasto and subs.

Gina Fasciano-Hogan said they are still working on getting their liquor license but hope to have it within a month. She’s keeping a tally of other menu items from the past people say they want, like eggplant Parmesan, and may start offering those as specials, she said.

Dine-in will available starting Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday. Call 316-612-9058 for more information.
