College Hill Creamery is expanding – not only its space, but also its offerings.

Owners Ryan and Stephanie Nall, who took over the business in January, have decided to lease the upstairs space of their building, which is an old house at Clifton Square, 3700 E. Douglas. A Pilates studio had been operating in the space.

The Nalls say they’ll add another 600 to 700 square feet, which includes three different rooms. They plant to have it remodeled and ready to go by June and will use the upstairs rooms for different purposes. One of the rooms will be set up living-room style with comfortable couches. Another will be set up conference room style with large tables. The third room will be set up for kids to enjoy. They also hope to have live music in the new space.

The additional room also will allow the restaurant to expand its menu, Ryan Nall said. He’s planning to add lactose-free ice cream, raw and vegan treats, gluten-free products and more baked items, including coffee cakes and tres leches cakes, sold by the slice.

The Nalls now are serving a full lineup of ice cream and coffee drinks plus caramelized Belgian waffles, with dough provided by The Waffle Wagon. They’ve also added Nitro Joe’s liquid nitrogen coffee to their menu and are using it to make some addictive Nitro floats.

Stay tuned for updates on the expansion.
