One of Wichita’s abandoned Church’s Chicken buildings is getting a new tenant.

Angelo Limon is moving his Ricardo’s Mexican Food from its current drive-through only space at Pawnee and Seneca to the former Church’s location at 503 N. West St.

Ricardo’s has been in business for about five years at 1310 W. Pawnee, but Limon said he wanted a building that had a seating. The current Ricardo’s is a drive-through only place.

“This was a great location,” he said. “The street has more traffic.”

Ricardo’s is a 24-hour burrito and taco place, and its specialty is breakfast burritos, Limon said. He also serves tortas, chile rellenos, nachos, churros and more.

He’s not sure when he’ll close the Pawnee restaurant, Limon said, but he hopes to have the move compete by July.
