As if their steakburgers and shoestring fries aren’t tempting enough, Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers is now adding another hard-to-resist treat to its menu:
The snack, a festival and sports bar favorite, will appear on the menu on Thursday. It’ll stay there through at least June 15, though depending on its reception, it could stay longer.
The idea to add fried pickles to the menu came from co-owner Randy Simon, who has always loved them, said Freddy’s spokeswoman Val Cowan. It took the chain a couple of years and many taste tests to come up with the perfect recipe that holds its breading but isn’t overwhelmed by it.

Freddy’s version offers breaded and fried pickle slices available either a la carte with a side of Ranch dressing for dipping or as a side in place of fries with a combo meal.
