Just try the tofu. That’s all Chipotle asks of you.

If you do, the restaurant will reward you with free food the next day.

Chipotle restaurants nationwide are introducing a new product called Sofritas, which is chunks of organic, vegan tofu intended to be added to burritos, tacos and bowls in place of meats like chicken, steak and pork.

Those who order it on Monday, Jan. 26, can bring their receipts back from Jan. 27 until Feb. 28 and get a free burrito, bowl, salad or order of tacos made with any filling.

The tofu, according to Chipotle’s website, is made from Hodo soy that has been shredded then braised with chipotle chiles, roasted poblanos and spices.

I’ve always sort of liked tofu, so this intrigues me. Has anyone out there tried the Sofritas? Report?
