Baconfest is happening on March 28.

Tickets for the previously announced Midwest Baconfest at Hartman Arena will be on sale in just one week, and the sizzling details will be arriving soon.

The tickets will cost $25 and will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Jan. 23. (Tickets on the day of the show will be $35.) They’ll be available at www.ticketmaster.com, by phone at 1-800-745-3000, or at the Hartman Arena Box Office, 8151 N. Hartman Arena Drive in Park City.

The first Midwest Baconfest, an event put on by Hartman Arena and radio stations BOB-FM and The Wolf, will happen at the arena from 1 to 4 p.m. on March 28. It will include bacon-flavored foods from local restaurants and vendors, bacon-themed merchandise, live music and other bacon-focused activities. Money raised will go tot he American Legion Riders Post 81.

When we first reported on plans for the Baconfest in October, Hartman officials said they were trying to mimic the success other bacon events had in cities like Des Moines, Chicago and Kansas City.

The Baconfest now has a website and a Facebook page, too. I’ll update you on details as they’re released.
