Restaurante Usuluteco has reopened at its new location.

The popular El Salvadoran restaurant, which specializes in pupusas, has been closed since New Year’s Eve as it transitioned from its original spot at 1714 E. Northern, where it had been for 10 years, to its newer, larger space at 2265 S. Seneca, which was previously occupied by Kimmy’s Cafe. It reopened on Friday.

The restaurant used to be closed on Mondays but now will be open seven days a week, owners said. For now, the hours are10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sundays. Eventually, the restaurant might add later weekend hours.
