Heroes in Old Town reopens after 10-day closure
Heroes, the popular sports bar and grill that’s operated at 117 N. Mosley in Old Town for 24 years, reopened on Thursday after being closed for 10 days.
Now, it has new owners – David Allan and Charlie Badeen, who also own Joe’s Old Town Bar & Grill, O’Briens Irish Pub and Dudley’s – along with Poncho Lujano and Trevor Portier.
Wichita’s Gates family sold the bar to the new owners in October.
So far, the new owners have made a few changes, including opening up the bar area of the restaurant. In the coming weeks and months, Allan said, they’ll be making more changes, including adding some menu items, rearranging the layout and extending hours. Starting Monday, Heroes will begin serving food until 11 p.m. on week nights and midnight on weekends.
“We want to make it more efficient and friendly and more open,” Allan said.
I’ll update you as more changes come.
