Wichita: Send me pictures of your dinner
Are you, like me, the type of person who must photograph your meals? Are your friends and relatives always mocking you (or rolling their eyes with impatience) because you insist all meals be properly documented before they’re consumed? Now there’s an outlet for your edible art.
Start sending me snapshots of particularly beautiful (or bizarre) meals you’ve eaten in Wichita, and if it’s pretty enough, I’ll publish it on my spiffy new Sunday dining page. Be sure to include a brief description of what’s in the picture: what it is, where you ate it, when you ate it and whether it tasted as good as it looked.
I’m starting by offering you an example of this throw-back lunch recently enjoyed by one of my co-workers. It’s salmon patties and creamed peas from The Beacon, the diner next door to the Wichita Eagle. I wasn’t particularity interested in sampling this retro creation, but it sure was pretty.
Send your pictures to me at dneil@wichitaeagle.com or message them to me on my Facebook page, facebook.com/diningwithdenise.
