Art and beer the focus of Friday-night WAM event

The Wichita Art Museum is putting on a special installment of its “Art Chatter” series, and this one has beer.

The event, which lasts from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, will feature several presenters talking about art. But before they start, attendees can sample beers local brewers, including Central Standard, Hopping Gnome, Wichita Brewing Co. & Pizzeria, River City Brewing Co. and Walnut River Brewing Company.

Beer samples and bar snacks will be provided from 6 to 7 p.m., and the art presentations start at 7 p.m. A cash bar also will be available.

Tickets are $10 for museum members, $15 for non-members. They can be purchased at wichitaartmuseum.org/events until noon on Friday. They also can be purchased at the door starting at 6 p.m.
