You might, in your clogging heart, suspect why the rich dishes at Doo Dah Diner taste so good. But if there’s any doubt, chef Patrick Shibley will fill in the blanks.

The diner is putting on a cooking class where it will feature, among other dishes, Crab Cakes Benny. The class is from 6 to 8 p.m. on Nov. 17 at the diner, 206 E. Kellogg, and tickets are $45 plus tax.

Shibley put on two of these classes already, and they sold out on the first day they went on sale. He advises his students to come hungry.

Tickets are available at the diner or over the phone at 316-265-7011. But be sure to note – Doo Dah is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, so Wednesday is the first day you’ll be able to place an order.
