B.S. Sandwich Press’ fancy new food truck is ready to go
The new, deluxe B.S. Sandwich Press truck is ready to go, and owners Doug Buchanan and his sister, Jodi Buchanan, will take it on its maiden voyage on Friday.
The truck’s grand opening will be at the new Pop-Up Urban Park, 121 E. Douglas, from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday. The Flying Stove, Mr. Natural Soul Kitchen and Charlie’s Pizza Taco also will be there.
B.S. Sandwich Press is one of Wichita’s original food trucks and has been open since March 2012, operating out of a little orange pull-behind trailer. Its new rig is a custom-built, 18-foot truck, complete with a fancy graphics job, separate windows for ordering and pickup, a quieter generator, a sound system and a massive kitchen on-board. The old trailer will become a new business, operated by B.S. employee Tanisha Babino. It’ll be a burger truck called Lil’ Bit Gourmet Burgers and should have a schedule soon.
