As is typical with restaurant openings, it’s taking a little longer than he expected. But Youssef said he is sure he will be able to get his restaurant at 4618 E. Central open by Nov. 10, which is a week from today.
In the meantime, Youssef is tiding eager fans over by releasing his menu and some photos of his edible inventions, and it looks good.
Appetizers include escargot in garlic butter, puff pastry-wrapped brie, mussels, truffle fries and a charcuterie board. There’s French onion soup, a goat cheese and steak salad, several savory dinner crepes and entrees like steak frites, duck confit and trout almondine.

The lunch menu offers fewer entrees but adds sandwiches, including a burger and a croque madame. And the dessert menu lists croissant bread pudding, a banana Nutella crepe and chocolate mousse terrine, all made in-house.
The bistro will have a big wine selection, cocktails and a coffee menu. It’ll be open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sundays; from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Fridays and Saturday.
